Transfrontier Peace Park & Mozambique

Mozambique -- a crossroads of civilizations, cultures and landscapes, influenced from the early days by nomadic tribes, Arab traders, British sailors and Portuguese colonials, then torn apart by over 20 years of civil war. With newfound peace, and a fast growing economy recently reopened to tourism, Mozambique offers the explorer a wealth of treasures in the form of untouched wilderness areas, natural beauty, deserted beaches, and unique cultural heritage. This tour combines the well-known attractions of the Kruger Park in South Africa where animals abound, living in their natural environment, with the recently initiated Transfrontier Peace Park. The Transfrontier Peace Park incorporates the existing Kruger Park as well as large adjoining parts of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The tour will traverse the South African and the Mozambican sections, using rough bush tracks (Mozambique). We will camp in the wild at remote, unspoiled, yet incredibly scenic bush camps. Also, the tour will include visits to natural and cultural attractions, pristine Indian Ocean beaches that Mozambique is famous and tropical paradises such as the Bazaruto Archipelago. We enjoy a night in the capital Maputo, where we experience the Latino culture, and enjoy the city.

Transport & camping material.

A 4x4 expedition vehicle is used for this safari (Land Rover Defender).
Expeditionary Camping Safaris are designed for those who really enjoy camping. Public campsites are often used. All equipment is carried in a trailer. This is a viable option for those keen to camp, venture into remote locations or on a slightly tighter budget.
Safari trailers are ideal for anything from overland trips to luxury camping holidays into national parks Our trailers are mobile townhouses on wheels, complete with kitchen, pantry, bedroom and living room. Our philosophy is to have a space for everything – you don’t unpack anything but a table and chairs, the rest stays in its space in the trailer. Setting up a typical camping site should never take more than 10 minutes.
